Una cordial bienvenida a nuestro primer boletín acerca de los logros y el diario vivir en Sacuanjoche Waldorf Kindergarten en Granada, Nicaragua.

El jardín infantil ha estado abierto al publico por mas de cinco meses, y mucho se ha alcanzado gracias a el profundo compromiso de las personas involucradas; padres de familia, profesores y amigos de la escuela. Hemos también recibido muchas apreciadas donaciones físicas y financieras. Nos sentimos muy agradecidos por toda la ayuda y apoyo que hemos recibido que nos ha permitido seguir adelante con este proyecto.

Somos ahora un grupo de 12 niños y con mucho optimismo mas niños empezarán a unirse pronto. Poseemos una cantidad exacta de niños y niñas, mayores y menores, nicaragüenses y extranjeros, de modo que todo el equipo se compacte y funcione bien, ayudándose unos a otros en su desarrollo. Después de nuestras largas vacaciones de navidad, los niños han regresado al ritmo de la escuela con mucha alegría y creatividad. Sus voces tenían ritmo al cantar las canciones conocidas que habían aprendido del año pasado y sus manos se mostraban bien ocupadas creando nuevas pinturas, estatuas de arcilla, nuevas recetas de pan y nuestra hora de almuerza estaba llena de risa e lindas historias. Todavía se le escucha cantar las canciones de la fiesta del farol que habíamos celebrado en noviembre, así como también de la obra teatral de diciembre. El grupo de costura estaba muy ocupada preparando los atuendos para los pastores y ángeles, y ahora han tomado el reto de hacer muñecas.

En este año nuevo, estamos comenzando el proyecto de plantar un completo jardín orgánico funcional que estará floreciendo para la temporada lluviosa. Todos los niños conocen de la necesidad que hay de cultivar plantas, así como el sol, el sol, el agua y el amor. Los niños han disfrutado excavar en la tierra y arrancar hierbas frescas para nuestras sopas y salsas. Pronto, esperamos llevar a los niños a su primera excursión a una hacienda cercana al pueblo de Guanacaste, ubicada un poco en dirección hacia el volcán mombacho. Allí, ellos verán diferentes tipos de animales y diferente especies de plantas y árboles.

También, le damos la bienvenida a una nueva profesora, Ángela Mojica, quien es una profesora nicaragüense de español y escuela primaria, con mucho interés en la pedagogía Waldorf. Ella inicio este año nuevo tomando un curso intensivo de Waldorf en Costa Rica. Los niños disfrutan de su compañía al igual que nosotros, apreciamos que sea parte de este nuevo año escolar.

Desde que el jardín infantil abrió sus puertas en septiembre del año pasado, hemos estado en progresivo desarrollo, gracias a muchas manos expertas y positivos esfuerzos de manos de los generosos padres que han participado y hecho una tremenda labor durante nuestros talleres mensuales de fines de semana. En estos fines de semana los profesores, padres de familia y estudiantes se unen para crear nuevos juguetes, muñecas, hacer un poce de mantenimiento o simplemente el aseo, para conservar la belleza de nuestra nueva escuela. Estos días especiales poseen un sentido familiar y cumplimiento que no tienen precio.

Sacuanjoche Waldorf Kindergarten - english

Welcome to our first newsletter about the achievements and daily life at the Sacuanjoche Waldorf Kindergarten in Granada Nicaragua.

The kindergarten has now been open for more than five months, and much has been achieved thanks to deeply engaged people; parents, teachers and friends of the school. We have also received many appreciated physical and financial donations. We are very grateful for all the help and support that we have received to allow us to carry through this project.

We are now a group of 12 children with hopefully more children to begin soon. We possess an even mixture of boys to girls, older children to young ones and Nicaraguans to foreign children so that the team of children works well together, helping each other through their development. After our first long vacation for Christmas, the children slipped back into the rhythm with much joy and creativity. Their voices were rhythmic with familiar songs from the previous year and their hands were busy creating new paintings, clay statues, new baking recipes and our lunch times were filled with laughter and stories. They still sing songs from the Lantern party we celebrated in November, as well as from the Christmas play in December. The sewing group was busy preparing the costumes, for shepards and angels and has now taken up the challenge of making dolls.

In this new year we are commencing the project of planting a fully functional organic garden that will be flourishing by the rainy season. All the children know the necessities for growing plants, such as sun, soil, water and love. They have enjoyed digging in the dirt and plucking fresh herbs for our soups and sauces. Soon we hope to take the children on their first excursion to a farm in the nearby town of Guanacaste, a bit up the side of the volcano Mombacho. Here they will be able to see different animals and species of plants and trees.

We also welcome a new teacher, Angelica Mohica, who is a local Nicaraguan Spanish and Elementary school teacher, with interest in Waldorf pedagogy. She started the New year at an intensive Waldorf training course in Costa Rica. The children enjoy her presence as much as we do and we appreciate her becoming a part of this new school year. We are looking forward to witnessing new transformations within the school, the students and ourselves within this new year.

Since the kindergarten opened its doors in September of last year, we have been under an ongoing development. Thanks to the many positive forces and experienced hands of the generous parents who have been very involved and done a tremendously good job during our monthly work weekends. On these weekends the teachers, parents, and students join together to create new toys, dolls, perform simple maintenance or just clean, to preserve the beauty of our new school. These special days possess a sense of family and accomplishment that is priceless.
